Financial Literacy Program
At The Pledging Tree Foundation, we believe that empowering families/individuals to better understand and take control of their finances is an essential first step toward building a secure and rewarding future. We help families become financially independent by increasing their knowledge of and comfort with financial matters – especially underserved groups such as minorities and youth. Our efforts focus on encouraging better savings and investing habits early, with a special emphasis on key life changes, which can have a devastating impact on a family’s financial. In the process, we help build stronger communities.
We hold Financial Workshops in series so that individuals can build upon their learning over a period of time. The workshops are open to the public. These workshops are conducted by a team of Certified Financial Planners (CFP) and Personal Coaches. Each workshop is held for two-hour session with one hour focused on the financial topic and the other half on the personal development.

To help ensure that the program has a meaningful, long-lasting impact on the savings habits of enrolled families, families are required to attendquarterly one-on-one financial counseling sessions with a certified financial planner (CFP) to help and guide them throughout the entire 12-month period.
Financial education workshops are also held quarterly and are open to members of the community, along with enrolled families.
